Trip To The Dentist

All of our kiddos, except Bryson went to the dentist last Thursday.  It was an interesting trip.  I wasn't sure if we were going to make it.  Andrew was at "Cave Time" when I went to check him out.  He couldn't hear me so it took over a half hour to find him.  :)  Then I had to check out the girls from Shelley, Brody from Forbes, and pick up Alyssa from my mom's work.  It's a good thing I started early.
My in-laws took Bryson for a ride while we were gone.  (Thank you again Kent and LouJean.  That was so helpful).
Everyone did great!  Alyssa had no cavities.  She was so excited when she picked out her treat that she peed her pants.  :)
Poor Brody had a stye in his right eye.  I know it was bothering him, but he did his best to do what they asked.  He also had no cavities.
Bree bragged to everyone that she was so good she got to pick out 2 treats from the treasure box!  ha ha  No cavities for her also.
Abby did great, but unfortunately she had 2 cavities.  The report is below.
I need to make a follow up appointment for her.
Andrew (not pictured) took the longest.  I joked with all the kids and said, "I bet he has at least 5 cavities!"  Amazingly, he had none.

Cute and Springy

Down In Fountain Green

I had to work yesterday morning.  We had our monthly nurse's meeting.  By the time I got home, it was almost 10:30.  Our church goes from 9-12, so we had already missed half.  Aaron was gone to Colorado for school, so Andrew and Abby stayed home to help me watch the other kids.  I wanted to do something special with the kids, so we decided to go for a ride down to Fountain Green.  My Grandma lives down there.  My grandpa passed away about 4 years ago, so she is alone and she doesn't get a lot of visitors.  My mom went down with us.  It was such a fun little trip.  We visited with her for a couple of hours then we played at a park.  Here are some pictures from our trip.

Discovery Park

We went to Discovery Park on Saturday.  It was a little crowded, but the weather was perfect.  Just what we needed!

 My funny story:
Andrew wanted to play tennis.  I took Alyssa and Bryson with me to the tennis courts to play with Andrew, but Brody, Abby, and Bree wanted to stay at the playground a little longer.  When we came out of the tennis courts, I saw Brody far off in the distance.  I yelled at him to get his attention.  He began running towards me.  As he got closer, I could see that he was holding something.  When we finally met, I saw that he was holding a Disney Brave cupcake.  "Where did you get that?"  I asked.  He repeated my question.  I asked him several times, "Where did you get that cupcake?"  He couldn't answer me.
I looked around.  There were at least 3 birthday parties I could see.  Should I take Brody to each party and apologize?  I thought about what I'd say, "I'm so sorry.  My son is autistic.  He doesn't understand boundaries.  Could I pay you for the cupcake? Would you like your partially eaten cupcake back?"  Oh dear, I was soooo embarrassed.  I decided it was probably just better to go.  I quickly helped Brody, Bryson, and Alyssa into the car.  Then I gathered the others.
Here's a quick pic of my little thief!
