Bear Lake

This past weekend, our family went to Bear Lake. Bear Lake is such a fun place. For those of you who've never been, it's a great place for a vacation. My family has been every year since I was little. We always stay in some condos on the south side of the lake (Ideal Beach Resort). The resort has a couple of pools with saunas, a miniature golf course, an arcade, a playground, and of course an awesome beach. Outside of the resort, there is a big golf course, minatonka cave, pickleville playhouse, and of course raspberry shakes from Laboes. There is so many things you can do. Here are some pics from our weekend

Aaron took this picture of me after we'd gone swimming in the Lake. I was pooped!

Aaron, Bree, Kate and Ash playing in the sand
Dad dumped some water on Abby (She wasn't too happy)
Everyone built a sandcastle
Bree loved the sand. Trust me. Tons of sand came out of her diaper the next day

This seagull flew in front of Abby while I was taking the picture.

My Brother Went Through The Temple!

Last Saturday, my brother Michael went through the temple. All of my siblings, their spouses, my husband, my parents, and my grandma were able to attend. -What a neat experience it was to have everyone there. I'm so grateful for the gospel.
Mike leaves for his mission next month. I'm really proud of him for wanting to serve.
Our family went to dinner at Los Hermanos after the session. Here are some pictures.

A New Trampoline!

A week ago today, we got a new trampoline! All of my kids love it. I took these pictures yesterday evening and thought they'd be fun to share. Abby

Trip To McDonalds

Yesterday, I had to make a trip to Home Depot. My kids were really good at the store, so I decided to stop at McDonalds, and get them a treat. I bought Sundaes for my 3 oldest kids and some fries for my baby. I guess Brody and Bree decided to swap. When I got home, I turned around, and this was what I found. Bree had chocolate everywhere ... and I mean everywhere!
I wanted to be mad, but I couldn't stop laughing (And crying)!

Lagoon

On Monday, our family (Minus Aaron and Bree) went to Lagoon. I was a little nervous taking Brody. For those of you who don't know, Brody has autism. Sometimes Brody has a difficult time in crowds. Brody is very independant and likes doing things alone. Because of this, Brody is left out a lot. Anyway, it was important to me that Brody go, and I'm really glad that he did. Brody was amazing! He didn't have any tantrums. When he got on rides he simply held his ears. Andrew and Abby had a great time. Andrew went on all of the "Scary" rides including Wicked and Colossus! -Not bad for a seven year old. Abby went on all the rides that a toddler 36 inches and under could ride.

My favorite part of Lagoon was Lagoon a beach! There are tons of slides, small pools and even a lazy river.

4th of July Madness

Thursday night, all of my siblings and their families (except Ryan) met together at my parent's home. We had some dinner, did some fireworks, and just enjoyed spending time with one another. Friday night, we had a bbq and did fireworks at Teresa's house. Here are some of the pics.

Brody thought the fireworks were a little too loud.

I met Glenn Beck!

Today was such a great day! I, my sister-in-law (RuthAnn), and two of my children (Andrew and Breelyn) got to meet Glenn Beck. Glenn was at University Mall signing autographs at 2:00 pm. For those of you who don't know who Glenn is, let me give you a little background. Glenn is a radio/television host. It's fun to listen and watch him. He speaks with a lot of humor, but he's very honest and he gives you the facts. Glenn was raised as a Roman Catholic, but later converted to Mormonism. He's had a lot of difficult trials in his life, (ie. His mom commited suicide when he was only 13, one of his brothers committed suicide, he has a handicapped child, he's been divorced, he a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, etc.). He talks about all of these trials and the influence the church has had on his life, and it literally brings you to tears. He's such a humble man and a great missionary. I've listened to him for about 5 years, and it was an honor to meet him today, (Even if it was only for about 5 seconds).
